SENIOR DEVELOPMENT LEAD

The Enterprise Commerce (ECIT) Engineering Team holds the mission for delivering millions of transactions and one great experience for the core licensing areas of Microsoft. &nbsp Our mission statement is to “Deliver a superior customer and partner experience across software and online services on an agile and scalable commerce platform”. &nbsp If you are energized with big challenges and like working on high visibility projects which is related to Microsoft’s China cloud revenue each year, consider joining ECIT China.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Development Lead who is passionate about the customer experience and self-service to lead development and architecture. There is an opportunity to lead development for the reinvention of how people interact with Microsoft’s Cloud Business in China and use new technology to create positive user experiences for customers and partners. This position will lead the engineering development work and contribute to development strategy and platform direction for ECIT China. &nbsp

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience delivering large enterprise projects using software engineering best practices such as source control management, build automation, unit testing, debugging, issue tracking, bug management, and code reviews. He / She should be able to balance complex and competing technical priorities, be able to actively develop at both the driver and application levels, and be able to manage and mentor developers on the team. If you have the vision and passion to lead the design and develop Enterprise-level business applications that solve real world customer problems, can sustain the load of millions of transactions with excellent customer experience and the will and skill to make it happen, then this is the job for you.

The ideal candidate must have an solid understanding of enterprise architectures, software engineering principles, strong information and process modeling abilities, expert understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, advanced knowledge of the .Net platform, deep knowledge of software infrastructure, good knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies, and be independently proficient in developing enterprise level software solutions. You must also possess superior problem-solving skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines.

QUALIFIATIONS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp BS/BA in computer science or related field required (MS in computer science or related field preferred).

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp 8+ years of related work experience, with experiences of Development Lead or Development Manager.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Ability to lead a Development Team across multiple complex applications.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Good leadership skills and people management experience. Excellent communication and written skills are critical.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Proven track record of shipping secure, high quality, and high performance software.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Expert architecture, design, & implementation skills in most of the following areas: C#, ASP.NET, SQL, SOA, WCF, XML, and web based and/or smart client OLTP design and development and a high degree of understanding of security, scalability, flexibility, maintainability, and reliability.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Experience and knowledge of cloud enabled services and applications. Experience with Windows Azure Platform will be a plus.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Expert object oriented development and design experience.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Ability to work with Program Management, Product Management/Solution Management, QA and our Customers teams to understand both business and technical scenarios to ensure we’re building or configuring the right things for the business.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills. Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, and organizational navigation skills.

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Experiences in development & test methodologies and frameworks (test driven development, agile development models, Kanban etc.).

• &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Ability to see emerging technology trends in industry and bring that knowledge to work group.
